Wheel-thrown ceramic drum. Straight sides to bulbous top. Open base, top covered with stretched skin membrane glued to sides and pierced along lower edge for attachment of skin thongs which are interlaced around upper section of drum. Clear glaze on outside. Linear and geometric patterns painted in horizontal bands in blue, red, green, yellow, brown and light blue enamel.
