Pair of short trousers tailored from strips of aso oke (for the cloth and its pattern see Af1991,14.6.a, which is part of the same costume). An extra piece of indigo-dyed cloth of handspun cotton has been hand-sewn to the top to form a waistband; the same cloth has been used to line the legs.

- Af1991,14.1 to 10 were collected by the donor, Philip Allison. It was recorded in the donation book as "A small ethnographical collection from various parts of Nigeria collected by the donor during the 1930s and 1940s." The collection was deposited in the BM in 1967 and subsequently donated. See Eth.Doc.113.
