Blanket (kaasa), hand-woven from hand-spun wool in six strips that have been hand-sewn together along the selvedges. All the warp and much of the weft is of white wool, but across all six strip have been woven six bands of dark brown/black dyed wool, with supplementary weft designs of diamonds positioned down the centre of each band. There is a dark brown braid sewn along each long side; fringe along each short end.

- Curator's comments
- The six strips, the braid, and the five tassels at the ends identify this as a kaasa cloth woven by the Fulani. It is, however, of an unconventional pattern. The nearest parallel along the kaasas in the British Museum is Af1960,13.26.
