- Af1971,23.1 to 62 were given by J S Slater 'in memory of his father the Rev. J H Slater, a medical missionary in south-east Nigeria, among the Ibo and Ibibio peoples, between about 1919-1924'. It is not recorded which are Igbo and which are Ibibio. The register entries were made by John Picton, who added a commentary on some of the pieces.
