Composite stringed instrument; the skin is laced across the back of the resonator with leather thongs, and are not sewn as in Af1964,02.31 to 34. One string only in place, made of twisted horse hair.

- Af1964,02.1 to 83 were purchased from the Church Missionary Society. Nos.1 to 37 had been collected by Churchill Bryant before 1910, and are mostly Yoruba. Nos.38 to 70 are from West Africa, mostly Nigeria; while nos.71 to 83 come from Uganda.
