- Af1954,09.4 and 5: see description by Dr Harris in Eth.Doc.180, nos 14 and 15:
"Two figures, representing females, carved by an Ibibio artist in Bende area in 1938-1939, purchased from owner in Ozuitem.
These figures intended to be used as dolls for children. Both young boys and girls play with such dolls, caressing and ‘feeding’ them, as adults of both sexes do with children. Figures like these also used attached to platform (obE) atop dancer’s head for Ojojo play. Ojojo was one of the most popular plays in Ozuitem in 1939. Introduced in 1936 or 1937 from Ibibio country. Played during the dry season, usually by children and youths. Ojojo players are also organized as work groups, usually for lighter tasks like weeding."
