Textile: single width of machine spun and machine plain woven cotton. A repeating stencilled pattern of stars and dots has been created through the use of the starch resist-dyed method. The textile was dipped in indigo. The textile is unhemmed

NB In Nos. 213, 215,216,217, the white parts of the pattern are drawn in black. The effect of the drawings is that of a photographic negative. 214 is, k, as it appears.
