- Af1948,06.1 to 34 were purchased from the anthropologist S F Nadel. The objects came "from tribes of the Nuba Hills, Kordofan, collected by the vendor in 1940." The collection relates to his monograph, 'The Nuba. An Anthropological Study of the Hill Tribes in Kordofan', Oxford University Press, 1947.
