- Af1947,07.1 to 69 were given by Mrs Wharton of Midhurst, Sussex. The collection is described in the register as a "Large basket and wooden bowls with carved animal figures from the Barotse Tribe, and other ethnographical objects from Africa. Collected by the late Miss Lyford-Pike about 45 years ago during 7 years' residence and travel in Africa" (ie. ca.1900-1907). See comment on Af1947,07.1.
