'... the only thing I have for you ... is a small wooden hoe still used by the more old-fashioned of the Wapogoro. It has a blade at each end and a shaft some 8-9 inches long between, all in one piece. They squat on their heels and grub about with it, dibbling in their seed or grubbing out the weeds ...'
