- Am/Af1937,0617.1 to 11 were purchased from G P L Miles, with a note "Stevens Sale" which implies that he had acted as the BM's agent at a sale in Stevens Auction Rooms. Nos.1 and 2 are American. The rest are African, of which nos.5 to 10 are recorded in the register as "probably modern Egyptian".
