' ... Pottery exhibits from the Ulanga Valley, Tanganyika Territory. This is presumably Culwick No. 16 - 'Nos. 16-21 inclusive are the tools used in making all the above [pots] ..'
'No. 16 is used chiefly for smoothing the outside of any pot, and in early stages it is also used for the inside for shaping the bulge against the palm of the hand. Corncob.'

- Af1935,0302.1 to 23 were given by Mr & Mrs A T Culwick, and all come from Tanganyika. Nos.4 to 23 is a series of pots and the tools used for making them, by the "Wabena of Ulanga valley, Tanganyika".
