- See Ethdoc 70 - Handicrafts of the Awemba Tribe of Northern Rhodesia. Possibly:
'2. Axe - Mbafi (pl. & sing.). Made from selected woods. "Chiya" particular hard wood grown on ant-hills preferred as it does not split. Handle shaped with small axe. Blade forged (cf. spear blade). Used for finishing off enemies struck down in battle. It was usually carried stuck in the girdle..'
