- Acquisition notes
- Af1931,1118.44 to 65 (with a few exceptions and additions) is the African section of the bequest of Alban Head (1899-1931) of his collection of ethnographic art which he had formed in London, presumably mostly in the 1920s. The objects have no early provenance, and the attributions have been made by BM curators.
