- Af1928,1103.1 to 6 were given by W Robertson Lawrie; nos.1 and 6 were recorded as coming from the "Yao tribe, M'Pondi village, south-west of Lake Nyasa". Nos.2 to 5 were recorded as "from the Atongas, Nyasaland". Another note records that they were "Collected about 1898; the iron comes from a mountain on the west side of Lake Nyasa."
