Cloth: mat: plain weave and open work: dyed dark blue cotton and natural raffia warps: dyed dark and light blue and natural raffia wefts. This combination of warps and wefts is used to create a natural coloured raffia cloth with light and dark blue weft stripes at regular intervals and dark blue bordering warp stripes. The central panel is also decorated with rows of open work. The cloth is finished with a fringe of unworked warps.
