- See Ethdoc 274 - list of Native Articles collected by Major Powell-Cotton in Chad Colony and Sanga Forest, 1925. There are three throwing knives in the collection but this is presumably:
'Throwing Knife - The cheapest and most common form of the upturned tip. From near Moissala, Sara M'Bai tribe inhabiting the country to the N.W. of the junction of the Nana Baria and the Bahr Sara Rivers, between approximately 7.40 and 8.50 N and 16.30 (?) [sic] and 17.40 E ... given me by my cook 12/10/25'
