Ceremonial axe with rough chisel shaped blade passing through the handle, the end is carved to represent a human head with dressed hair, a string of beads round the neck.

- Af1889,0212.1 to 31 were given by E C Hore in 1889, a member of the London Missionary Society. They were collected by him in the 1880s when he was in charge of building the first steamship on Lake Tanganyika, and come from the peoples that he met around its shores (see his biography). The slips record where they were made and purchased.
