Presented by Amsterdam Zoological Society, 30/10/1871. Christy "Additions, 1868-1877", p.212, no.1 "W.Africa ?". Registration Slip initially gave '"Africa"' with '(West ?)' added; additional subsequent annotations are 'Compare this with the Surinam paddles' (referring to Christy 7599 and 7600 from same acquisition ?), followed by 'Treat as Bush negro. Surinam ?. A.D[igby], 4/12/57' and 'Dutch Guiana (?)'. Comb is currently stored with Africa collections (AMD,1996).
