Small threshing machine [sledge] consisting of a thick solid plank of wood tapering away to one end which is slightly curved upwards; the rest of the under face is set with pieces of lava; the upper side has two projections, the one at the smaller end being perforated for the trace.

Mr Jagor of Berlin says (1869) that trilhos set with flint are still used in Valencia, Spain.
Mr George Dennis says (1869) that they are used in Spain and Sicily.
