Letter H Warren Edwards/A W Franks, 7 October 1868 - 'I have a great number of curiosities which I collected while in Charge of the "Niger Valley Mission" Mr Jackson Curator of the Museum at Kew has recommended me to write to you offering them for sale he says he is sure that you would be glad of the opportunity of adding them to the Ethnological Dept and authorises me to add his testimony as to their being worthy of your attention. I shall esteem it a favor if you will name any time convenient to yourself when you would inspect them they consist of manufactures in wood - iron - leather - brass- ivory - grass - palm leaves - iron [sic] - gourds - pottery - etc....'
