Model war canoe (waka taua) made of wood with carved designs, New Zealand flax fibre (?), coconut fibre(?), bark(?) and feathers. Intricately carved and painted red along the outside of the hull. The stern has a heavily decorated ornament with a wooden statue attached with feathers on the ears and as a skirt. Decorated figure on the bow of the canoe. There hull has a top-strake lashed on with fibre and there are three thwarts along the hull of the model.
