- Photos made or collected by Alexander ‘Spearline’ Wilson while working as a government surveyor and Commissioner of Lands in Solomon Islands from 1920 to 1942 were inherited by his daughter Mrs Andrea Ballatyne, who lent them to Ben Burt to be copied for the British Museum (Museum of Mankind) in 1985. The Museum sent a set of copy prints to Mrs Bannatyne when it returned the original photos. Mrs Bannatyne agreed for the photos to be copied for use by the Museum, with copying and publication by others to be authorised by herself.
