The album to which this photo belongs, disintegrated into separate boards, was apparently compiled by a photographer visiting the Melanesian Mission in Norfolk Island. It includes photos of drawings made in Melanesia, probably by a member of the Mission, and photos of scenes, mostly of Norfolk Island. The drawings are dated 1881 and the photos are not dated, nor are the makers identified.
