Basket made of natural-coloured plant (guinea corn) stalks sewn together with fibre thread. Majority of basket (except for section above base) is overlaid with coils in natural, purple- and black-dyed coils sewn in natural-coloured fibre thread to base structure. Basket has flat, square base and single leather-covered arched handle, divided into two at each side and sewn to sides. Rim is reinforced by dark brown-dyed leather band with separate band of tassels below painted in black ink with geometric patterns. Each side corner has rectangular band of leather sewn in coloured leather thong to basket. Two corner panels have painted decoration in red dye, other two panels have cut outs with red wool ? cloth below. Base covered with dark brown-dyed leather; four feet formed by coiled strips of leather sewn together.
