Wooden huqq; cosmetic container (a) and lid (b). Made by turning. Cylindrical vessel with flat base, domed lid with mushroom-shaped top. Stained green inside. Decorated on outside with bands painted in red, black and mustard. Various samples of cosmetics stored inside huqq, including a paper bag containing powdered henna (c), a small lump of solid charred incense (d), four balls of organic substance (e-h), slivers of aromatic wood (i), two unidentified organic samples (j-k), four glass jars, two with plastic lids, two with metal lids, containing unidentified liquids and solids (l-o) and one glass bottle with metal lid containing essential oil (p).

- Curator's comments
- Huqqs are usually included in a bride's trousseau. They are used to contain cosmetics, oils and incense to clean and scent the skin. Particularly associated with the storage of delkah which retains its soft pliability when the lid on the huqq is tightly shut.

- Fair; huqq lid has crack from base to rim at one side. Mushroom top has been broken off.
