Pair of double-bamboo-shoot, fibre and feather ear ornaments in a bamboo case. Ornaments have a barbed point and are bound with strips of red and yellow dyed fibre; each end terminating in a bunch of red feathers.

- Curator's comments
- These ear-ornaments were made in east Kwaio, Malaita, where they are known as ruafifito or double-bamboo-shoot. They are worn over the ear with the arrow-head hooked into the hair. (see Burt (2009) Body Ornaments of Malaita p.87). They were made under the Kwaio Cultural Centre programme in the 1980s.
