- Curator's comments
- This design was created and produced in 2007 by ABC Wax under their 'Prestige' label for distribution through selected retail outlets in the UK. It is one of many designs that have been produced both in the UK and Europe as well as in factories within Ghana to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ghanaian independence on 6 March 2007. This design also incorporates 'osikani', gold printed patterns, that have gained recent popularity among the Ghanaian clientele.
