Notes: PicDoc 139 has a list that corresponds to this slide, the title of the document reads "LIST OF SLIDES (all pictures from the Eliptaman valley, Telefomin District, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea)"; the entry for this slide reads: "6. Houseboard from Utemtigin village (no. 4 in collection) with design influenced by the area of the Frieda Copper Mine, where the carver used to work. The carver, Niegyar Wengmanengim is next to this houseboard; the other houseboard (used as entrance) was also carved by him, but a few years earlier. ".
