Description
Photograph (black and white); an engraving of a drawing by John(?) Webber, depicting a burial scene of chief O Vehiatua of Tautira, painted during Captain James Cook voyage; a man arranging plant leaves and cloth covering the body on a wooden table, which stands under a thatched roof structure; the whole ceremonial ground is surrounded with a low wooden fence; and there are two high round tables on wither side of the structure with offerings of fruit and vegetables.
