- Acquisition notes
- A collection of photographs by Sir Ronald Garvey. The images mostly depict the Solomon Islands where he served as a District Officer from 1926-1932.
Lady Patricia Garvey (Sir Ronald Garvey's widow) enabled the British Museum to make photographic copy prints from original photographs and negatives. The collection was housed in albums and/or kept as loose prints or negatives. PicDoc 260 annotates whether the image was copied from an album, a lose print, or from a negative. It also annotates all the original inscriptions found accompanying with the photographic prints and/or the albums.
