Reverend Wilhelm Walther arrived in Agotu in 1975, he belonged to the Leipzig Mission which then changed to the Neuendettelsauer Mission, the first Lutheran Mission in New Guinea (arrived 1886). Reverend Wilhelm Walther was in Agotu until 1978 and Katesa Schlosser visited Agotu as a guest of the Reverend.
