- This photograph is from an album of 43 images by various photographers in New Zealand, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and Arkansas, USA. The album was collected by W.C. Mamby between 1889-91, and appears to be collected during travels as the sequence of photographs would suggest.
Date: This image is by Alfred Burton, from his well known trip in April and May of 1885 to the Wanganui River. There is a related image in the Te Papa Museum collection.
