Slide (colour); two Greek Shadow puppets of a Klephts(?) (Greek heroic bandits), made from cardboard, unpainted, with joints at the waist and on each knee for movement; the Klepht on the left is wearing a hat, a jacket with a sword attached, a fustanella (skirt), and a pair of tsarouhi (leather clogs with tassels); on the right is a Kelpht(?), with a beard, wearing a fustanella (skirt) and barefoot; Athens, Greece.

- Contextualisation: This shadow puppet character would have been used in a Karagiosis (Greek shadow theatre) performance.
Maker/artist and Date of Shadow Puppet: The puppeteer or maker of this shadow puppet is unidentified. However, the shadow puppet was believed to have been 300 years old in 1970, having been made during the Ottoman Empire. Yet, this information had not been substantiated.
