Slide (colour); Maria the Cook, a Greek shadow puppet, designed with a joint at the waist for movement, and a hole on her shoulder for the karagiosopecte (puppeteer) to manoeuvre the character; her eye is missing; she is wearing a white cloth headscarf ties with a pink/red ribbon, a gold earring, a pink/red dress with a white apron, and shoes; Athens, Greece.
