- Copán, known as Xukpi to the Maya, is a Pre-Columbian city in the western part of Honduras, Central America in the department of Copán; it is the site of a major Maya kingdom.
Many of the glass plates in this collection have been published in Maudslay's Biologia centrali-americana 1889-1902.
