Photograph taken at Huanuco Pampa, an Inca administrative centre located on the flat, high plain above the Urqumayu River about 12km from the modern town of La Union and 150km from Huanuco. The photograph shows the line of gateways between the eastern side of the central plaza and the inkawasi, a complex composed of 6 small buildings. The central doorway is aligned perfectly with others not visible in the photograph on an east-west axis.
