- Cataloguer's Comment: Prior to being stored in albums Af,A48, Af,A49 and Af,A50, the loose photographs and postcards donated by Lady Menendez were kept in boxes and envelopes.
Circumstances: [MEN-] PIC DOC 12. However, this picture is possibly not part of the Menendez collection, but can be seen in a book by Talbot(N F Barley, 21/11/1996). The dates in the previous field may not, therefore, be applicable to this photograph.
The neck-ornament shown in the photograph may be in object collections of the British Museum Department of Ethnography (N F Barley, 21/11/1996).
This image can also be found in the Howie Album, National Museums Liverpool and dated to c.1898. The image is entitled "Akenta Bob in Wedding Dress"
