- Cataloguer's Comment: Prior to being stored in albums Af,A48, Af,A49 and Af,A50, the loose photographs and postcards donated by Lady Menendez were kept in boxes and envelopes.
Geography: Ethnic group identified because of the cloth, N F Barley, 21/11/1996.
Circumstances: [MEN-] PIC DOC 12.
Biography: Green was a Nigerian photographer working in the early nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. An archive of his negatives have been found in Port Harcourt. N F Barley, 04/06/1996.
The same image can be found in the album of W.M.Himbury at the National Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Institution, Washington. The image is captioned: "Chief William Brown's daughter in her wedding dress Bonny N.C.P."
