Bronze medal. (whole)

Monstrous harpy with the features of Joseph Priestly, representing revolution, carrying a banner on which is a crown is deluged by drops of blood. Several offspring suckle at her breasts; one carries a scroll with an inscription; another has set off carrying a dagger and a burning brand. (obverse)

A snake in the grass appears beneath an inscription, with the date of the Birmingham Revolution dinner to which it clearly refers. (reverse)

- Brown 1980 states:
Tuesday 14th July 1791, the anniversary of the French Revolution, was celebrated in London by 1,500 gentlemen at the Crown and Anchor in the Strand, and in Birmingham 90 gentlemen met at a hotel for a similar purpose. See 'Gentleman's Magazine', 1791, pp. 673-75.
