- In 'A catalogue of British historical medals 1760-1960, vol.I: the accession of George III to the death of William IV', Brown states:
"The military college was founded at High Wycombe in 1799, it removed to Great Marlow in 1802 and to Sandhurst in 1812. On the 8th August 1813, the Bishop of Salisbury consecrated the new chapel and it was probably on this occasion that Queen Charlotte presented the colours.
One of Mudie's series of National Medals (see Brown 1980 p256.1057) issued in 1820. Examples of this medal are believed to have been struck in gold but no specimen has been met with.
