Composition of medal:
98.6% Cu, 0.3% Pb, 0.8% As.
It seems as though the reverse was originally intended to be paired with another smaller, portrait of Anne (see 1). It refers to her firmness as regent.
This portrait, in which the Queen wears only the most vestigial of veils, must date from well after Louis XIII's death.
