Composition of medal:
87.% Cu, 11.2% Zn, 0.3% Sn 1.2% Pb.
The terms pius and felix in the obverse legend (see also registration no. 1925,0310.206) are taken from the inscriptions on Roman imperial coins, as is the type of Mars Pacifer, though he holds an olive branch rather than a caduceus.
