Cast Bronze Medal. Gilt. Cast from moulds of a pierced medal. Pierced.

Bust of Ferdinando Francesco d'Avalos facing right, bearded, wearing an ornamented cuirass, the Order of the Golden Fleece, a buckled strap across is right shoulder, and a mantle. Beaded border.

D'Avalos as Hercules, nude but for a lion skin, his left foot planted on a recumbent dragon, reaching out with his right hand to pluck the apples of the Hesperides from a tree. His club rests on the dragon. In the background, a landscape with a town, harbour and setting sun. Beaded border.
