Notes:
The reverse is Henri Ill's device. Luckius and Typotius both portray the same device and legend but without the branches of laurel and palm. The medal is attributed to Pillon on the basis of the similarity of the portrait to that found on the coronation medals. This combination of obverse and reverse is recorded in the Trésor (see 3) but not by Mazerolle or Babelon.
