(obverse)
A monument, consisting of an obelisk on a pedestal; on one side of the obelisk stands Fame, Janus headed inscribing the obelsik; on the other side stands Minerva, with Victory, and Pegasus behind, holding a medallion of Louis XIV encircled by the serpent of eternity; around are flags and implements of war.
