Bust of Antoine Perrenot de Granvelle, facing left, bearded, wearing a gown. Beaded border.
(obverse)
To the left a boat struck by a storm, its sailors being massacred and thrown overboard, where they are devoured by sea-monsters. In the centre, a second boat sinking. To the right Neptune brandishing in his right hand a trident, and with his left supporting Thetis, whose left arm is entwined in the tail of a sea-monster. Below, a triton holding a sash and a double trumpet. Beaded border.
