Busts of William III and Mary II to right, both draped, that of the king partly superimposed over the queen. The king laureated and with long hair, tied with a riband showing no loose ends. Legend divided by the heads with half of the inscription on each side of them. Traces of a toothed border just inside the outer rim.
(obverse)
Britannia in loose fitting drapery with part of it hanging from the right shoulder carried in a curving fold across the body, seated to left on a globe, her right leg bare and thrust forward across the left. By her left sides is an ornamented oval shield bearing the combined crosses of St. George and St. Andrew. In her raised right hand which is held up almost vertically she holds a spray of leaves . Her left hand, held down low enough it touches the shield, clasps a long spear, with its butt resting on a single exergue line. Legend inscription along sides. Toothed border just inside outside rim.
