Curator's comments
This was originally published as postcard, 'Florence Nightingale to Save the NHS' in 2014. The banknote version was handed out at an NHS demonstration. It was designed and published by George Blair who started producing postcards in 1980. His most popular postcard, Wish You Were Here featuring jobcentres in UK unemployment hotspots, sold a quarter of a million copies during the Thatcher era.
