- On 31/12/1951 the exclusive privilege of banknote issue was withdrawn from the Banque de l'Indochine and transferred to the Institut d'Emission des Etats du Cambodge, du Laos et du Vietnam.Those notes, with but one exception, distinct for each state, were legal tender in all three until 1955.
